Bulldogs kids enjoy their day
Birmingham Bulldogs took a squad of under 13�s and under 11�s to the Derby Festival on Sunday [July 8] .
The under 11�s combined, with more numbers, were augmented by some players from Nottingham Outlaws and played their matches as Birmingham Bulldogs. The under 13�s split themselves in two and played for Nottingham Outlaws under 13�s and Telford Raiders under 13�s.
The under 13�s games were played in a triangular pool of Nottingham, Telford and Derby, which gave the Birmingham lads the novelty of playing against each other in some games. The Derby side were a powerful outfit for their age and won all 4 of their games. The Brum boys acquitted themselves well, however.
The under 11�s were in a pool of 4 with Coventry, Telford and Derby. They were unable to break the line against the Coventry side but showed great tenacity in holdong Telford to a 4-4 draw. Best of all was a 20-0 vicotiry against Derby uder 11�s.
