Summer Touch Rugby League
With NO tackling, NO scrums, NO kicking and NO punching!
“JUST FUN IN THE SUN”
We are starting a 6-a-side team league and are calling on the Birmingham community to make this
happen! A typical team will include 10 players in total to allow for substitutions and can include male and female members. Touch rugby tests your agility, ball skills, and ability to have fun playing in a team – minus the brute force – so why not give it your best “try”?! Matches will be played over three separate days at The Pavilion (Birmingham City University’s ground on Moor Lane), and the league’s winning team will be well rewarded – automatically qualifying for a national league final, as well as being given the opportunity to play with ex-Great Britain Lions players! Come along to the free Touch Rugby ‘taster’ session on 21st April at The Pavilion, where local heroes, the Birmingham Bulldogs, will be giving a demonstration of their skills and you can decide if Touch Rugby is for you. You can enter a team from your department/company or get a team together through various friends and contacts (remember no experience is needed to play). With all funds raised going towards the Heart of England’s newly founded Sports Injury Clinic, this is an opportunity not to be missed!
Summer League Fixtures will be played in the evenings (6pm) on the following dates: Wed 7th May, Wed 4th June, Wed 2nd July.
